The BOUDOIR
AFTER CARE GUIDE

Beautiful, please take a moment…

To honour yourself for choosing to take time to connect with yourself in this way.

I am so grateful I chose to follow my heart to be able to be here, with you, as a witness to your beauty unfolding.

You are probably feeling all sorts of emotions right now as you reflect on your shoot.

You might be riding on a high and feeling empowered, maybe feeling gratitude and full of love, or perhaps some deeper feelings have surfaced as a result of being so present and in touch with your inner self.

It’s natural to feel a little exposed, uneasy or emotional after your session. If you need extra support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your therapist or a trusted friend. Caring for your emotional wellbeing is just as important as celebrating your photos.

Regardless of what is happening for you, it is important to not consider the moment you leave the studio the end of your special day. It is easy to fall back into regular life once you pick up your phone, a reminder of all the things you have to do waiting for you.

Do your best to continue your day of self-care if you can, even if it’s one small little ritual.

Ideas to help you anchor in postive feelings, or work through difficult emotions are:

  • Journal around how you felt during your shoot.

    • What made you feel confident and empowered? What was it like to feel connected to yourself and embracing your beauty?

    • If feeling uneasy, what gentle words of encouragement and compassion can you offer yourself and your inner child at this time?

  • Doodle some key words of reflection. Colour as you reflect on the day.

  • Have a warm, nurturing bath with scents you love; pamper yourself.

Reflection truly helps with integration and transformation.

Doing something physical to commemorate the photoshoot will lead to a deeper transformation.

You are stunning inside and out, and I can’t wait to see you again to show you your photos!
